THREE-DAY PROFESSIONAL TRACK

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) SKILLS

Psychological suffering often shows up as urgency, an urgent need to escape, control, or silence painful internal experiences, sometimes through behaviors ranging from distraction and substance use to suicidal action. This three-day experiential training presents Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as a coherent, evidence-based, process-focused model that shifts the clinical aim from symptom elimination to expanding psychological flexibility and values-guided behavior, with the first two days building a sophisticated functional foundation in ACT theory and practice. The third day applies this framework to suicidal behavior, examining suicidal ideation and action functionally while equipping clinicians to integrate flexibility processes, risk assessment, and safety planning using the ACT model.
